 M3 CP - Awareness Poster (Part 1) Subjects that I would like to put awareness on are Wild Cat Conservation, Blue Whale Protection Efforts, and Suicide Prevention. With the Blue Whale and Wild Cats subject, its to show that certain animals with vital roles in their ecosystem need assistance, from either plastic waste, loss of habitat, or overhunting. Suicide prevention is to focus on helping in the simplest way through people communicating their issues.  

 Political Issues: Insect Conservation and Harmful Food Chemicals  The political issues that I wanted to address with these images are the decline of biodiversity within insect populations and Harmful fast-food chemicals. For the first issue a lack of insect species and their large populations can prove fatal for global ecosystems. The harmful food chemicals is mainly referring to how fast-food is processed in the U.S. compared to other regions of the world, such as Europe, where there fast-food products aren't nearly subjected to a wide array of ingredients and chemicals like in the U.S. This in turn causes great health risk like obesity to the wider population, since a good number of people eat fast food without carefully analyzing what they eat.   First Sketch Topic: Harmful food chemicals For this first topic I wanted to address issues in food chemicals in many fast foods and market food products. In short food in the U.S. is processed with heavy amounts of chemicals and ingredients that are not seen in other countries or regions, such as Canada or Europe for example. My three sketches for this topic are done in a simplistic manner, showing that certain appearance of foods can be deceiving as to what their contents have.   Second Sketch Topic: Nuclear Energy  In this I mainly focus on the benefits of nuclear energy over other sources of energy. Its non-toxic and other elements that are safer that uranium can be used such as thorium reactors. This is to help have a suitable energy source, that isn't harmful to the environment, until more better options are available such as fusion power energy.
