 Political Issues: Insect Conservation and Harmful Food Chemicals 

The political issues that I wanted to address with these images are the decline of biodiversity within insect populations and Harmful fast-food chemicals. For the first issue a lack of insect species and their large populations can prove fatal for global ecosystems. The harmful food chemicals is mainly referring to how fast-food is processed in the U.S. compared to other regions of the world, such as Europe, where there fast-food products aren't nearly subjected to a wide array of ingredients and chemicals like in the U.S. This in turn causes great health risk like obesity to the wider population, since a good number of people eat fast food without carefully analyzing what they eat. The first image is more representative of a critique of the views people normally hold on insects, viewing them as pests with no value or with the belief that they can repopulate and fix their numbers despite exterminations. With major habitat loss being a contributing factor, many insect species with crucial roles in their environment have declining populations. It was hard to find the right photos that I wanted, but in essence the image is to depict earth's loss of the insect kingdom. As to where this would be placed publicly it would be better suited to be placed on poles that are around street corners and residential areas, as it can catch the attention of anyone who is curious on insect information and what roles they play. 
The burger skull image is another critique on people's lack of awareness to any harmful foods they eat mainly fast foods. In short people don't analyze the contents on food labels. This is not much of a problem if food products were less chemically processed such as other regions of the world, but in the U.S. where their isn't as much regulation, foods can contain hazardous ingredients that can have negative affects on any individual. This image can be placed in on store windows who offer better food products that aren't chemically laced and to a lesser extent on school billboards as a younger audience can also be conscious as to what they eat.
